House of Sweden Monthly Meetings

We hold meetings on the first Sunday of each month at 4 pm.

2010 Exceptions

The date of next meeting is on January 10th (not January 3rd).

The February meeting is February 14 not February 7 because of Superbowl Sunday

April 11 due to Easter Sunday

 July 11 because of Independence Day.

Sept 12 because of Labor Day weekend

Serving Swedish Food

House members serve coffee and Swedish pastries to the public each Sunday from Noon to 4 pm.

Major Annual Events

Eggsexa

Held on the Saturday before Easter Sunday, from 12 noon - 3 pm.

2010 the Easter lunch will be on April 3.  The cottage will be closed because of Easter Sunday.

Ethnic Food Fair

Occurs on May 23, Sunday of Memorial Day weekend from 10 am to 4 pm.

Midsummer Festival

Occurs on June 28, Sunday. There is Breakfast and Maypole decorating from 8 am - 10 am. Please sign up for the breakfast so we know how much food to prepare. Also, there is a public celebration from Noon - 4 pm, and House of Sweden entertainment at 2 pm.

Nordic Night

Queen/Princess Election

This happens in September of each year.

Cottage Decoration

We decorate our cottage for Christmas during November.

Balboa Park December Nights

Held on December 3,4, Friday-Saturday of the first weekend in December, from 4 -10 pm.

Christmas Luncheon

The annual Christmas Party takes place on the 11^th of  Dec. at 11.30 A.M.  at the Best Western 7 seas hotel in Mission Valley.
