The House of Sweden cottage is located in Balboa Park, San Diego California and is one of several Swedish-American organizations in San Diego County. The purpose of our House is to promote Swedish social and educational programs and perpetuate and preserve the Swedish culture, customs, traditions, art, songs, dances, and language as a precious heritage for present and future generations of Swedes, Swedish-Americans and the public at large.
Membership in the House of Sweden is open to persons of Swedish birth, individuals of Swedish decent, persons married to a Swede or Swedish-American and individuals with a special interest in the Swedish Culture. The operation ofthe organization is dependent upon volunteering and service. Membership consists of enjoying the camaraderie of Swedish fellowship and volunteer activities that serve the HOS and promote the Swedish culture for an interested public. The HOS depends upon your volunteer service to the organization.
You can download the membership application, fill it in either manually or on your computer, print it out and mail it with your membership dues to our treasurer, Gary Litwak. If you are going to send the application digitally, be sure to download the form to your computer before filling it out. If you have a digital signature, you can sign it digitally.
